(March 27, 2007) - DuBois, PA.
Predator Performance racing engines would like to
congratulate Lakeland winner Matt Hawkins for an
outstanding rookie performance. Matt was able to
pull away from a late race charge by Trevor Bayne to
win the Sears Auto Center 200-in his first start in
the Hooters Pro Cup Series.
Congratulations also go to Predator drivers’ Mike Garvey and Bill
Plemons. Garvey took the pole, setting a new track record, and
Plemons had a strong run in his return to Pro Cup action.
It was a big night for Predator performance at one point in the
evening running second, third and fifth on its way to a season
opening win. Driver and Predator representative Benny Gordon was in
Lakeland to assist these teams.
"It was a strong performance by our engines tonight," said Benny.
"We are working hard to bring more of our engines and chassis into
the series. We are extremely excited to have a power house team such
as Plemons Racing to showcase our Predator power. Mike Bumpers, Rick
Jordan and Bart Grande are the guys behind the Predator power and we
couldn’t ask for a better team."
Predator Performance would like to wish good luck to all our teams
in the upcoming race at South Georgia Motorsports Park on March, 31.
